Call for Paper
Only a few months to go until the fourth edition of BaselOne on October 15th, 2020. Call for Papers is now open and we are curious to receive your proposals including a short bio via http://bit.ly/cfpBaselOne.
Based on the great feedback from last year’s edition, we will also host a workshop day the day prior to the conference. On October 14, 2020, we plan to host four workshops - two morning sessions and two in the afternoon. Each workshop should cover one of the conferences subjects and should last about three hours. Feel free to submit your workshop proposal using the link above.
The CfP will be closed on May 17, 2020.

Length and Language of Talks
The abstract of your submission is meant as an introduction to your talk. Please be specific as possible. The length of a talk is limited to 45 minutes (plus additional five minutes for Q&A). As we expect an international audience we accept talks in German and English.
For newcomers, we offer special slots with a length of 20 minutes (plus 5 minutes for Q&A). These talks can also be held in German or English.
Length and Language of Workshops
The content of your workshop proposal should be clearly defined in your abstract. Workshops should include a mix of theory and examples/hands-on blocks. The duration is limited to three hours. We plan to host two parallel workshops in the morning and two in the afternoon. Workshop language can be German and English.
Talks will be selected based on your submissions by the program committee. Please note that not all proposals may be selected depending on the quality and amount of submissions.
Compensation / cost absorption
BaselOne is a non-commercial event organised by the association BaselOne. Please note that we are not compensating costs. For speakers coming from outside of Basel or its surroundings we are paying one overnight stay in a hotel of our choice.

Code of conduct
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference. In case of an expulsion there is no right for refund.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified as they'll be wearing branded clothing.
Conference staff will be happy to help participants or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at conference and workshop venues and conference-related social events.
